With all the white dresses we saw this year at the 81st Annual Academy Awards, many brides probably watched with pen and paper in hand ready to note trends and styles for their upcoming nuptials. Penelope Cruz and Anne Hathaway hit it spot on with their elegant choices—both with a vintage feel.
Here are some dresses to note:
Miley Cyrus—a flower petal inspired layered gown with dark beading details adding depth and interest to the dress
Marisa Tomei—A full one shouldered dress in a gray-white shade provided a luxurious feel
Melissa George—A shapely mermaid style dress in a stark white showed off her great figure
Taraji P. Henson—This form fitting dress showed off two-inch thick strips of fabric from bust to bottom
Anne Hathaway—A cream colored beaded dress fit close to the body incorporating horizontal and diagonal beading patterns
Penelope Cruz—This full-skirted piece had elements of vintage lace and beading for the perfect princess dress
Take a cue from Meryl Streep on your Mother of the Bride gown. This dress showed off a perfect body part—the shoulders—while making her appear statuesque and graceful. |
